Nevada Tax Commission Experience

Consensus was founded by Barbara Smith Campbell, former Chairman of the Board of the Nevada Tax Commission. Ms. Campbell's 20 years of experience on the Tax Commission give her a unique insight into Nevada taxation procedures, experience that she uses to help companies implement proper administration of tax law and gauge the impact of tax legislation, tax regulations and tax initiatives on their business.

Corporate Experience

Prior to founding Consensus, Ms. Campbell was Vice President of Finance for MGM Grand Resorts Development, a general contractor and development subsidiary for MGM Resorts International.

In 1993 she joined Mandalay Resort Group and was responsible for all project related financial reports, asset management and oversight of all contractual obligations to subcontractors and vendors. Under her supervision were national projects that exceeded $4 billion dollars, and she was responsible for the review, issuance and release of all contracts and change orders. Additionally, she oversaw accounting staff management for all Nevada offices, as well as, out of state jurisdictions. She was responsible for state tax management and contractor liability requirements in multi-state jurisdictions. Ms. Campbell maintained supervision on all third party audits for major construction projects and testified as "Person Most Knowledgeable" in construction cost litigation.
